You’re not a true-blue Delhiite if you haven’t been to the Mughal Gardens yet! Located inside the Rashtrapati Bhavan, every year around this time, tourists and locals wait with bated breath for the gorgeous gardens to open its gate to the general public. And why not? It’s one of the most stunning sights you’ll ever come across in the city- ample sunlight in this cold weather, and gorgeous flowers as far as the naked eye can see.

Now, who wouldn’t want to witness that serene scene? Thankfully, the wait is finally over, since the gardens will be open to the public from 6 Feb to 14 March 2019.

Inspired by the Mughal Gardens of Jammu and Kashmir and the gardens around the Taj Mahal, the lush Mughal gardens in Delhi are spread over a whopping 15 acres.
The major attraction at the gardens has always been the breathtakingly beautiful roses. There are around 159 varieties (yes!) of roses in the gardens. But you can also find other equally beautiful flowers there- 60 types of bougainvillaeas, more than 70 varieties of seasonal flowers, tulips, daffodils, Asiatic Lilies, 50 varieties of trees & shrubs and much more! It’s definitely an unmissable experience if you are in the city during this time of the year.

Closest metro station: Central Secretariat
Timings: 10 AM- 4 PM & Mondays closed.
Entry: free; from gate 35 of Rashtrapati Bhawan
