2019 has been a bustling year for the little ones with movies like Ugly Dolls, Pikachu and recently Aladdin hitting the big screen. With half the year still left, there is plenty in store for the little movie lovers. So we have rounded up a list of kids’ movies coming out in this half of the year that will keep the younger lot entertained!
1. The Secret Life of Pets – 14th June
Follow up to The Secret Life of Pets; this movie explored what our pets do while we’re away. A cute terrier, canine-intolerant cows, hostile foxes, a scary turkey and a rooster, this movie is a must-watch if your child is an animal lover!
2. Toy Story 4 – 21st June
In the instalment of the Toy Story franchise, the characters will embark on a road trip. This film has been a much-loved one by kids of all ages. So make your little ones catch up on the previous three parts if they haven’t seen them already until its time for the 4th one next week!
3. Spider-Man – Far From Home – 5th July
If your children are superhero fanatics and especially if they’re fans of Spider-Man, then this one is a must-watch them! This time Peter Parker and his friends will be travelling to London! We’re sure your kids are already excitedly waiting for this one!
4. Lion King – 19th July
If you have watched the Lion King – movie, play, musical anything, you know this one is worth watching. It goes without saying that you must take your kids for this one. After all, they also deserve to shake a leg to Hakuna Matata!
5. Dora and the lost city of Gold – 2nd August
If your kids have watched and loved the adventures of this Latin American girl along with her friend Boots and a bunch of tools, then this is a movie they are going to absolutely love! Adapted from the Nickelodeon series of the same name, in this film, Dora and her friends set out to solve an intriguing mystery!
6. Angry Birds 2 – August
Who didn’t like those blue, red, yellow and black angry little birds? We know we loved and it. You’re probably guilty of playing a game or two of Angry Birds too right? Well, they are making a comeback with a sequel to the first angry birds’ movie, this August, to mark the 10th anniversary of the original Angry Birds game.
7. Playmobil – The Movie – August
This movie is about a pair of siblings venturing into the Playmobil world. Featuring the voices of Meghan Trainor, Adam Lambert, and Daniel Radcliffe, this movie is going to be super entertaining, not just for your kids but for you too!
8. Abominable – 27th September
This movie is about a group of teens who want to reunite an Abominable Snowman with its family. Sounds like a super cute plot, doesn’t it? We’re sure the little ones are going to enjoy this sweet family drama and also get to learn the importance of family!
9. The Adams Family – October
In this movie, the Addams family have a face-off with a reality TV host.
We’ve all loved the creepy Adams Family. It’s now time for your kids to get a peek into their lives too. So make it a family evening and enjoy a dose of the Adams family with your little ones!
10. Frozen II – November
Here’s a treat for all those kids who were mesmerized by the world of Princess Anna and Princess Elsa! The sisters are coming back to the theatres after a long, long wait of six years! We’re pretty sure your kids are waiting for it as impatiently as we are *hehe.*
11. Spies in Disguise – December
The world’s greatest super-spy and his gadget inventor come together to save the day when an unexpected event puts the world in peril. This sounds like a super exciting plot, and you’ll probably find yourself wanting to watch it more than your children also!
