Beer lovers in Delhi, there’s good news for you guys! Delhi has finally got the license to run its own microbreweries! Guess who won’t have to make a trip all the way to Gurgaon just for some freshly brewed beer? You! So far Gurgaon was the only place in NCR with running microbreweries which have been popular among Delhiites as well. But now, the tables have turned and boy are we excited!

What is a microbrewery?

Well, for those who don’t know, as the term ‘micro’ might suggest, microbreweries produce small amounts of beer which can be consumed there and then. And what’s better than some freshly brewed beer? Absolutely nothing! Some of the popular microbreweries in Gurgaon include Manhattan Bar Exchange and Brewery, 7 Degrees Brauhaus and the list is basically endless. You can check them out here.

These breweries can only have a capacity of up to 500 litres per day and they must install an on-site wastewater treatment facility. They would also have to make sure they comply with relevant no-objection certificates and licenses. What was earlier supposed to happen in 2021 is happening now! The microbreweries in Delhi are all set to open within this year! Not long before we can finally enjoy a mug of freshly brewed beer in our own city.

Cheers to that (with our imaginary beer mugs, for now!)
