Q. What is secret of Happiness ? How does one remain happy at all times ?

Seems like a question that would be posed to a Miss World or Miss Universe contestant or to a large audience attending a spiritual discourse. Well, the answer to this question really depends on the age of the person to whom it is posed to. A small kid would say that “chocolates and toys” is the key to his happiness. A young teenager would need nothing else other than his “favorite video games and comics” to stay happy, while the young 20 something adults would be happy “partying and drinking“. However, the truly wise and experienced man would know that all of these things bring only momentary pleasure and happiness.

The secret to true happiness and being happy at all times is to “to have a balanced mind, body and spirit“. Human life in the 21st century if full of materialistic desires and needs and while it is not wrong to pursue them, it is important to understand that only gaining and experiencing them is not the purpose of life. It is possible to be the richest man in the world and be a nervous-wreck while it is also possible to be not-so-rich and be very happy. A person with a balanced mind, body and spirit is always aware and is always happy because he always lives in the moment. Much of our worries and tensions happen because we are always uncertain about the future and therefore keep worrying about it. A wise man once said “Our today is the tomorrow we worried about yesterday”, which is a state of mind that most people have and it basically forms the source of all tensions and health related problems.

So how does one achieve a balanced mind, body and spirit. What is the path that one should follow to achieve this state of perfection ? Well, to begin with it is a long term process, results for which can be seen only with extreme patience and perseverance.     Happiness is a state of mind.When u have tears in your eyes and a smile on your face,(often seen when one is declared a Miss World or Miss Universe or when one is declared to have won a Gold in Olympics individual event),when for a few seconds mind is hollow and empty with no thoughts or desires are the moments of Happiness.Ever lasting Happiness stems when u have discovered your true identity that u are one with God,that u are LOVE personified born out of love and living for love.When u love the whole creation as part of yourself,outflows compassion,creativity,contentment,communication,connectivity,commitment and Consciousness.All these 7 C’s lead us to Happiness.
