These choosen souls are involuntarily attracted to read the leaves by force of circumstance or under compulsion or by severe curiosity about oneself. The language inscribed on these palm leaves is in old poetic tamil(as shown in the picture above. It looks like some kind of scribbling to a layman, but in reality contains the future of your life) and is understandable to very few who are well versed in the art of naadi reading.

Surely there must be several questions running through your mind now. What kind of process is followed by the nadi institute to get to your leaf, is probably one question you must be thinking of. After all how do they find everything about me and my family by just taking my thumb print. Is the process scientific(Read Scientific Proof of Nadi Predictions) or are you just really lucky to find your future(doesn’t explain how thousands of people have found their facts). Well, the process is somewhat like this:

  1. First your thumb print(right hand thumb for males and left hand thumb for females) is taken on a piece of paper. Every thumb impression can be classified into a particular category and the leafs are categorized in bundles based on the thumb imprint categories.
  2. For a particular thumb impression there could be several bundles each containing many leafs with the future of various individuals. Once the bundle matching your thumb imprint is found, the naadi reader takes you into closed discussion and proceeds to read each leaf present in the bundle.
  3. The leaf reader has no knowledge of any of your details, he only reads out only what is written on the leaf as he has been trained to understand that language. The reader would one by one take up several leafs asking you to verify basic facts like your date of birth, your fathers name, your mothers name, their occupation, your current occupation etc. These facts would just be told to you and not asked from you, you just need to reply in yes/no. If you’re lucky you would get the leaf where everything that is written would match and answers to all the questions would be yes.
  4. It may also be that your leaf is not found, in which case they search the records at the main center in Tamil Nadu(The main center has branches all over India, allowing people all over the country to use this facility. Only certain number of scrolls are kept at each center, while the main center has a much bigger collection.)
  5. Normally, each side of the leaf would have information about one person. So a single leaf would have information on 2 people, however in very rare cases a whole leaf would have information about a single person. The naadi center hands over the leaf to you if you fall into this rare category. Sounds too startling to believe but it is absolutely true, and there have been a few cases like these.
  6. The most amazing part of this process is that even though the helpers at the naadi centers spend several hours trying to locate your leaf, they do not charge anything for their services if your leaf is not found. One needs to pay a minimal amount only after your leaf has been found it’s content recorded in the original tamil form in a notebook and translated into either hindi or english by a translator. The words of the translator are also recorded on an audio cassette which one is allowed take back along with the notebook.

Sure there are still gonna be a lot of questions in your mind. Most of us tend to think scientifically and science has no explanation for miracles and superpowers, so many of you reading this would have a strong resistance in believing what is written above. Well, you are most welcome to experience this for yourself. The fact is that your entire life including your name, the family that you would be born into, your date of birth, place of birth have all been decided beforehand. Therefore even your future is pre-planned, although it’s your freewill that has the power to change a few things.

    Udai - I’ll answer your question after a few years, once the facts have been verified ;).

    Bikram - No one can control or change the future. The priests do know how to read the leaves, but that does not give them the power to control anyone’s future. Cause the future had been written on those leaves many centuries back. If you don’t believe the contents of the article then my suggestion is that you should go and try it out for yourself.

    I’ve visited many nadi centers in Punjab & Harayna. System is very same as you told.I’ve got the nadi leaves of My entire family. No doubt nadi astrology Is great method to know future. But the predictions are not 100% accurate . Nadi readers tell the good things of future boastly & ignores the bad ones.
    My neighbor’s age was told by a nadi reader 85. but he was dead in just 67th. I think the leaves r 100% correct but readers r not. To get the full knowledge about nadi system one must read book “Nadi Astrology” (English, Hindi) written by “Shashikant oak.”

    Thanks Very Much for this article. I got to know abt this place long time back when telecasted in
    one TV serial of Doordarshan. But i could not manage to visit the place due to not
    having address. After decades I could not stop myself to search about this place when
    again seen a episode on this place in another TV serial last week(8-9/05/2008).
    But, unfortunately I missed half part of the episode and hence the details abt the place.

    I’ve gotten my life read by a nadi reader sometime ago. I was suprised by the amount of info revealed, especially my parents’ name and my future husband’s name. However, after I have a long thought and also because I’ve made note while listening, I realised that there’s a lot of Yes/No questions before reaching to my leaf; and all the Yes/No questions will eventually lead to some of the answers like for example my parents’ name.     Hi All,

    yesterday i went to Nadi Astrologer in Delhi. They found my leaf. The detail given on leaf was very exciting. They told me the name of my Dad, Mom, Brother and wife. DOB of mine and my Wife’s.

    We do have to answer in Yes/No to get our leaf. I dont think anybody can have this system or befool others by using any trick. There are millions of name in the world.

    They specifically found my family’s name. Thats great. I will go to them again fro further reading of Kandams…will keep you people updated….

    nadi centre is at IFFCO colony gurgaon , finding leaf is boring and otugh process and prediction are 90% correct so i think its worth and they charge 2500/- for 20 mins of general predictions on all scopes of life , i think if one can afford its worth a try ,

    rest they also want POOJA etc spending which u can avoid to listen and follow , rest is not so bad , they have really got something to amaze u , as how they can have ur record ?can u answer this ?my leaf took 2 months to find so even i got bored

    they are not over professionals , they can amaze u once ur leaf is found , someone who sent me was told her father will have 13 operations , he excatly had 13 , they told him nothing can save him , and yes it was true ,

    but small heart people will be unhappy if they find something bad in their future so be prepared to hear the good or even the bad , as these guys dont wanna please u by telling stories , they speak straight forward , although i feel they are 90% correct , but 90% correct do u think is less ?

    i dont think so ! however they have many people coming everyday at gurgaon , staff is couteous and polite and they are not toooo professionals , so still we have genuinity

    I got my nadi reading some 7-8 months back from gurgaon center itself.That time, i was going thru a very rough phase of my life & they predicted that it wud continue for another year or so. All the bad stuff they told me abt happened to be true. past 7 months were like a disaster. & as they predicted, wat i thought was “impossible” hv already taken a toll of my life.
    But at the end of the day, wat I earned is a sense of security that after one year things r gonna be better/alrite. So i really recommend this place.

Everything about my past was correct and everything thing predicted about my future has been quite accurate up until now. what i would like to know is, how accurate are future readings? because the person on the tape seems to know when i am going to have children, how many children, with whom i will have them with, and the list goes on…is this all possible?

    Hello All..I got my Nadi reading few months back.Everything they told me about my past was true.It was amazing.I got goose bumps!!!
    How true are the future predictions is yet to be seen.I beleive in Nadi reading a lot.I went to them because i was very confused in life and wanted some directions.But after going there i am MORE CONFUSED.I was told of some “doosh” or bad karmas that are following me from last birth!I was even told to do some puja(which they will do for me in chennai)and get rid of these bad karmas.I have got so superstitious now that i feel if i don’t follow all the advice my time will not improve.the puja will cost around 20,000rs.Its not about the money but i would rather give this kind of money to some charity and help poor ppl.Is doing puja where i am not even present the only solution?? I beleive in God but I beleive more in good deeds.

    Yes i had also been to this centre few week back , first they told me to come back after diwali
    since at that time they did not have my leaf .
    after diwali i went to them , and he had found my leaf , with my fathers , mothers name and my name & DOB.
    ‘But i am not sure wether to believe them or not
    cause they were not able to tell my future wifes name and also they told some group of letters for word ,,
    and said probably your wife name will have these letters / sounds in her name .
    and if use those , then i can get more than 10 names ,

    I want to share mine personal experience with Nadi astrology.
    I want to them and all they find my leaf, and they recoded my future on cassette tape. Past is 100% right, but don’t know about future.
    But i m in love wit a girl, we are palling to getting married with each other, she asked her wish to her father, due to Financial difference they not agreed. after so many up and downs and sacrifices, they took her to one Nadi astrology center (8months ago) and open her general chapter and 7th chapter of life. After reading 7th chapter of her life they told them , that she will have Love marriage and also told them my INITIAL name. (unbelievable).
    I think may be they are guessing this. then finally after 8 month i goes there last sunday, and luckily my leaf was found , and i also requested them to open my 7th chapter,, and i shocked with happiness that they aslo told me that i have a love marrige, and they also tell me the initial name of mine wife. and i m happy to know that the name is same to whom i love.

    I also talked with other peoples who was there. They said the prediction of this NAdi astologers are 100% right and accurate word to word..

    anothere incidence is with my BOSS, his father and mother went to him four year back, but he never listes that TAPE, after four year when he listen to that tape , he shocked to know that what was on tape four year back, is same to what is happen till now….

    So there are many fake Astrologers too.. so Be aware

    Well, after researching a little about nadi jodhidam here and there, I got interested so much as to know it by myself, but in vain, it is a complete hoax (I do not know as to the authenticity that not all are hoax, but some are authentic).

    First of all they get the thumb impression and ask you to wait for some time, then they say if you are lucky you will get it. In the mean time, they advertize that there are 12 kandams and if you are interested in knowing about marriage, then you have to see the Ist podhu (general) kandam and the 7th thirumana (marriage) kandam, apart from that, there are 10 more kandams which are in 4-5 varieties, thuliam (little detail), mahathuliam (more detail) shooksham (a little more detail than this) and maha shoksham (again a little more detail and deep secrets) each varying in prices from 500 to 10000 according to your money in pocket. Apart from this there is parihara kandams 1 and 2 (in the same varying prices) which you have to see to bring an end to all the negatives in your prediction which may be costly.

    They just have a bundle of palm leaves, (may be the same 2 or 3 bundles they have after all) and just show it to you for the dramatic effect to lure you into a little belief if you are doubtful as to the authenticity. Only a good old Tamil reader could tell for the script is in ‘old Tamil’ and only some people can read it properly (which is again to our disadvantage) as to know whether it is authentic at all, we do not even know whether they really read from the leaves or just pretend so as to give the great dramatic effect, and in the meantime try to side guess all they need for making it look authentic when they ask those 10 to 15 questions to make a guess about you by verification of data.

    By doing this, they get the moon sign, nakshatra, approx time of birth, and date of birth etc., and cast a horoscope in front of you and give you a rough prediction about future (again a lot of guesswork to please you). This is a lot worse than astrologers, at least they accept to the limitations of astrology, here they say it is true and authentic whereas it is a hoax completely. In all this, also the mind wants to know the complete truth of this whole thing, is it really true somewhere, or is it is totally useless and a big sweetened hoax.

    I have visited Naadi Center at Gurgaon on 4th Feb. Whatever is written is almost true. By taking the thumb impression they will read out some of the leaves in front of you to verify your details. And one of the leave will tell you exactly your name, your family members names, DoB etc. Once you nod in yes for all the details, they will start translating rest of the things invloving your future onto a notebook and then they will record everything in front of you in a audia cassatte.

    I too have seen Jeeva Naadi and have benefited immensely by the great Agasthya Muni’s blessings. Generally Naadi Astrology is of two types. The first type is Ghaanda Naadi (Kaanda Naadi). It has 12 sections and this type of Naadi requires Thumb impression of the seekers. This Naadi is already prewritten by Ancient Sages in Ancient Tamil script. This is the most commonly available one.

    The second type is Called Jeeva Naadi. This one is available only in very few places as in this case the Sages personally give instructions to the seekers through the Naadi readers. i.e while a seeker goes to this Naadi reader the Sage appear in the palm leaves as letters and tell about the seeker and their family and answer their questions.     Fortunately I happened to know both Mr. Ganesan and Mr. Hanumath Dasan. They are really genuine. Why I am saying is they don’t emphasise on “Money”.

    Hi Sunil Kumar & Senthil,

    Fine to read your postings. A year ago, I met Shri. Hanumath Dasan in Chennai. Highly satisfied. I need to see him again but I could not get an early appointment for my immediate necessity.
    Can I see Shri. Ganesan in Thanjavur? I prefer Jeeva nadi of ‘Agasthyar’ as I experienced it in Chennai from Shri Hanumath Dasan. Since I could not get an early appointment, I wish to have it from Shri. Ganesan in Thanjavur as he is also a Jeeva nadi reader. I want to know if this is rishi ‘Agasthiyar’s’ Jeeva naadi or some other rishis? As I was advised to do some ‘pariharams’ by Shri. Hanumath Dasan, it would be better to meet only ‘Agasthiyar’ Jeeva naadi reader. If Shri. Ganesan is also a Jeeva naadi reader of Agasthiya Rishi, whom do you prefer most? Mr. Ganesan or Mr. Hanumath Dasan? Your earliest reply would assist me at the need of the hour.

    Hi All

    There are certain points to be noted regarding Jeeva Naadi. One has to approach the Naadi reader in order to get know solution for their problems or their future. It should be taken note that ancient sages are coming and giving us the solution, so we should go to them with prayers and faith, and we should not try to get our readings through phone, internet etc and moreover Naadi readings are never told in phone. Sri Ganesh of Thanjavur is an Agasthya Jeeva Naadi reader only.

    Sri Hanumath Dasan of Chennai is very busy, so Naadi seekers please try to contact Shri Ganesh of Thanjavur as you can get an appointment very easily. Mostly his cell phone might have been switched of during the day time… the time that he will be available on the phone for sure is morning 6 to 7 AM, and evening after 10 PM.

    One important thing is there are too many frauds in this Naadi reading going on, so please be cautious when selecting the Naadi Reader. As far as I know Shri Hanumath Dasan of Chennai and Shri Ganesh of Thanjavur are 100% genuine readers.

    I too have such experience- having got the readings(1994) but not beleived in it as it was mentioned “you would devlop enemies who would block your life”- i thought who would be enemies as we are strong believer of god- Now i come to know about it and have read at note book in which the reading was written, . The first reading and agastyas directions were given was just a day before somebody performed black magic upon us.
    Nearly the note book was vanished, i was not at all having knowledge about it.
    As i got to go to agastiyar’s reading again 2 months back , and asked to do what was told 14 yrs ago. i found that it was all TIME, and he say” you have not had faith in my words”.

    I IMPLORE you people please follow instructions as given by sage agastya, please. dont be a fool like me.
    Still i am not out of red.I hope to have a reading again. I accidentally found senthil kumar’s writings as agastya is my manaseega guru. At last i happen to have a good readers address.

    Dear All,

    I visited IFFCO center a week back. after long waiting my turn came and i was called in. The matching of leafs started and the person keep on asking question. Question ranged from are you married. are you the first child of your parent. Were in you born in winters. you have brothers, any of your brother and sister lives abroad etc. I belive most of the questions itself gives out quite a lot details. No leaf was found in first bundle. Then the reader ent in to seek other bundles. came back with two bundles. Atlast the leaf was found which contained my family members name. Since what they told was not good so i got two more chapters opened which were of my previous birth and remadies to be performed. The reader told that black magic is being done on our family through some lady due which problem are coming. The told lot of poojas out which two have to be done by Naadhi center itself. In one Pooja you have to worship the main granth and give gurudakshna of Rs.5008. And other pooja to be done in tamil nadu for which you have to pay Rs 19000. I am in doubts wheather to do these pooja. Can anyone help and enlighten !!

    Recently I had visited Nadi Jyotisyam in Vaidheeswaran Koil while visiting navagraha temples in and around Kumbakonam on 25-09-2009. Just opposite to temple there were so many Nadi centers you will find. Every body will say they are from Temple appointed persons but I don’t think so. Because the shops/Centres had putted different photos of gods either it is their beliefs or a commercially to attract the people as per customers belief.

    Its a great experience. After searching 25 to 30 leaves they found mine (by tallying my mother/father/DOB/children details). What they told me is exact past experiences and present situations regarding my job with full details of my nature of work and also the suggestions. There are so many kandas/parts (around 12 or 14) 1st one is general part which will be revealed by the person with nominal price @ Rs.200/-. If you want to know the future also (which was in other parts), you have to spend more amount. They had taken the finger prints of mine and my wife but they had told about my future only when asked about my wife’s future they said my wife’s future depends on mine only so there is no need to tell about her. If they are money minded persons they would tell her future also. but they are not like that. fyi, I had visited All Navagraha Temples / Kumbakonam Temples \ Rameswaram \ Tirupati in this trip.     Looks like someone hacked the central database where the personal information (like voting card, PAN, driving license) is kept along with the thumb print.

    It is very common, atleast in US, to pull your entire information using your thumb print and it is mainly used for criminal investigation. Now, if someone has access to the database where personal information like voting card or PAN card is stored, it is easy to run a fingerprint scan which gives a set of possible matches (it uses mathematical calculations to find the best match) and then read the information to you to filter out unwanted matches until you find the right one. If you have access to this kind of system, there are number of ways to make money by fooling people.

    I was stunned when he read the names of my parents, my name, my date of birth and said I had 2 siblings and also said that my dad was no more.

    However, I doubt the veracity of the future read (this they read to you after 2 hrs of having found your card). I felt that most of my future details were based on details he had kept getting from me, as he was searching for the card (he kept getting details of my education, relationships, property … regarding education I had made a mistake in the way I explained one part of my education and that also showed up). As he started saying about future birth, I felt eerie and asked him to stop (even tho according to him what he stated was good) . I also felt eerie when he kept telling me some general thing about next few years and wanted him to stop.

    My guess is maybe the card is written by the sages but not the future bit . (though I am still stunned that 2000 yrs back I was destined to be born to my parents ) …so do we not have a hand in anything,,,even in keeping our childrens names?? What a pity, or should I say what maya we live under?

    The general assumption like that is wrong. I shall explain it to the best of my knowledge. In astrology, we get our Raasi Box Chart (the one with 12 boxes) is calculated based on time and date of birth. In that 5th place from Lagna is called Purva Janma Punya Sthana which indicates how much punya and paapa u have done in your previous birth.     Before i start I would like to give a brief detail about myself. I am an ex Indian Army officer and have done a resettlement course from IIM Calcutta. Presently I am working in Botswana in a private company. After going through various posts and knowing about different people experiences I got tempted to write my own experience. After fininsh my MBA I was offered a job in India by L&T which i promtly rejected because I was all set to join the company abroad. However i got stuck for 6 mopnths in India because of my work permit and other documental hassel. It was during that time I got to know about nadi astrology. I reached there on 8 april 2009. The procedure followed by Nadi astrologer is same. Finally they pulled out my leaf. To my surprise they told me the problems I was facing and including problems related to my marriage and going abroad. I am a spritual person and have firm faith in God. I did a few poojas though not prescribed by nadi astrology and I left for abroad on a tourist visa. However it was very much predicted that I will come back in a few months time which happened as my visa expired and still i did not get my permit. A months later i got my permit and I went back.

    Guys, There may be some truth in leafs, BUT BELIEVE me the presonse who owns those leaves are now using it with a BUSSINESS MOTIVE. MY sincere advice is please dont go and waste ur money there.

    Reasone for the above is:

    1. If the leaves are written by Sages it should belong to our Country property..The govenment should acuire it and rewrite those information in our modern languages using the professionals of Leaf Readers.

    There is no way at present to verify what ever they are telling is written in it or not. I am not blaming the things written in leaves. But the person who reads…use the correct info and adds his own for the big bussines he does…

    2. In 5 to 10 mins of reading and explaining, They are getting very big money, Like 200 rs for general Kandam, Rs 150 for each specific Kandam… there are 14 chapers
    Think of the money they are getting. No BILLS, NO TAX… Everything Goes as BLACK MONEY… is for this OUR Sages written the great things.

    3. Your name, and other info..what ever they tell may be true because, the leaf may contain it, BUT all the astrologers now using them for making big bussines..for that they telling lot of lies (For example they asked me 3500 rs) for a PUJA that will alter my life… Theare ARE ALL REAL FAUDS.

    4. Govenment Should take action angainst them and get those leaves…and should give MOST VALUABLE INFO in the leaves to the public in the RIGHT WAY.

    TILL Then My sincere advice is not to approach this Astrologers… PLEASE SAVE UR MONEY AND BETTER DONATE TO POOR PEOPLE Instead of giving to these frauds.

    Hi, anyone can tell me that what the nadi readers tell in their reading? As I reached the nadi astrologer at delhi. He found my leaf in 10 mins after getting my thumb print. After that he asked that r u married or not? about my job father is in govt or private job etc. He found my leaf and than asked to come tommorow. On the other day when I visited nadi centre.
